hey Shane, have you seen the new Star Wars RPG? Uses the D20 system.
I'm interested in what your professional game designer opinion is of the

What I've been doing is handing out "bennies." (Gaming beads.) Whenever a
player does something cool, I give him a bennie. It can be used to instantly
get back 1d6 hit points, reroll any die roll, or turn in for 100XP x level
(for now--low level). That's it.

And just 'cause I know you're going to ask. Yes, we're playing D&D because I
have the Sea Devil trilogy that's been burning a hole in my game shelf for
years (I'm a sucker for anything underwater or on Ice). Do I love the new
system? Honestly, no. I think it's a throwback. But playing D&D again for a
while is fun, regardless of how frustrated my group gets with the rules.
