If you're not interested in it and just want to play Boot Hill with
zombies, more power to you. But right now, there's a grand story to tell,

it's my job to make sure the whole tale is told.



I appreciate that you have a "grand story" to tell and it is your job to
make sure it's told but it is also your job, IMO, to make it continue to be
possible to play Deadlands without the other if I choose to do so.  To do
otherwise is to risk the Marvel Comics sin of the "massive crossover that
covers 18 different titles, 16 of which no one reads but will have to get
for one story arc because the book they do read won't make sense otherwise."

Maybe you'll do something to make me love HOE and start to play it.  I hope
you do so those books I bought for it won't be wasted money but for now my
group just couldn't get "into" the world like we could Deadlands.
