You are correct.  The plane, if it had a name at all, was something
like "Wright flyer #2".

Here's a note of interest, though: The exact location of the first
four flights is not within the modern city limits of Kitty Hawk, NC,
but rather in the adjacent town of ... Kill Devil Hills.

(And a month or two after I was there, I received a postcard from
Manitou Springs, CO.)
