I will say this, not to correct you, who is obviously familiar with it, but 
to throw it out.  You just gave me an opportunity is all.

I don't like post-apocalyptic games.  I don't especially like Sci-Fi games.
I really like HoE however.  To me, it is just too bloody good not to 
play.  I got into Deadlands 6 months before HoE, because I wanted to have 
as little to do with it as possible.  One of my friends, now the HoE 
Marshal in our group, decided to run it cuz he liked Hi-Tech games.  I 
played one time.  I bought every book for it I could afterward.

So if you have tried it and don't like it (as the above poster). Sorry, but 
don't write it off for Genre.
