I got a response from Darrell Hardy, the Fantasy Flight webmaster who told
me there was a Range Wars egroup (http://www.egroups.com/group/Rangewars)
but he didn't have any particular information on it.  

They do have an email newsletter that you can subscribe to via their main
web page (http://www.rpg.net/ffg/) but nothing else I'm aware of.
