Well, in an effort to be helpful, "Cthulhu by Gaslight" said to assume
five dollars to the pound in this era.
As for legendary swordsmen: Guy of Gisbourne, Athos, Porthos, Aramis,
D'Artanigon <sp>, Miyamoto Musashi and the Apostle John all spring
readily to mind.  As for legendary swordSMITHS, Masamune and Weyland
Smithers are the only ones I can think of.  (Yes, this is where Matt
Groening got the name.  His swords were so exceptional that the Welsh
word for a magical sword came to be Weylandwyrryn, "Weyland's Work." All
of them have names as well.  The Danish Rose is one of his legendary
blades.)
