It reminds me of that old DragonMirth cartoon.

The GM turns to each player in turn...  You get a scrap of an old map....  You get a shard of a piece of quartz....  And you honey get the lost artifact of the elven gods....

I have seen the effects of a GM's crush on one of his/her players.  It is ugly - gender doesn't matter.  Although we were very quick to whip out that quote everytime it happened.
