GB is kind of a black ops adventure for Agency posses, from what I gleaned on a first reading. This isn't to say that Rangers, Rebs or neutrals can't get involved with it, but they don't have as easy an in.
Katie Karl (one of the coolest and classiest characters to come out of Doomtown IMHO) is a good in, but she should probably make it clear to any Rangers or Rebs that she sends on the mission that they're treading on dangerous ground. She's sending them to help out "the enemy" during wartime, and although she's doing it because she believes that it's the "right" thing to do (which I do as well), she could probably get arrested and tried for treason against the CSA if they find out what she was up to.
PARTICULARLY if the Ghost's identity comes to light, which, given the way the final battle is staged, has a very good chance of occuring.
You may want to weave Katie's involvement into your own chronicle. She has recently left Doomtown and disappeared in a train wreck (dead or not, we don't know). Her replacement (whose name escapes me...Brigadier General Patterson?) is taking a decidedly more military stance on relations with Yankees. Katie always seemed to embody the spirit of the Strong and Noble South, the part of it that would set aside the differences "for the moment" to put down a common foe, and at least let the oppositionary former allies get over the horizon before thinking about drawing down on them.
Just my two confederate pennies, redeemable south of the Mason-Dixon (o'course).
