the gun your player was talking about was a primitive revolver called a
"peppermill" and had the annoying habit of firing all 6 barrells wether
the shooter wanted them to go off or not!  When the history channel did a
show about early revolvers, they tried to shoot one and all six went
off...

As far as the gizmo, I'd add something like "all 6 shots must be fired
regardless"
