In spite of the art, the cards don't actually glow and there is no flash in
any event. The huckster has to see the cards though and they do appear
suddenly in her hands, though, so usually it takes a sleight o' hand to
cover it up.

If you're in a spot where you can hide your hands (as in the example above)
you can usually get away with it. OTOH, if you're in a card game and holding
a hand under the table, you're probably going to get shot as a cheat. :-)

It depends on the exact nature of the backlash. Note that neither effects
exist normally (unless your Marshal says they do <g>), but they might occur
with a backlash, just 'cause the manitou is ticked and wants to see the
huckster caught. ;-)
