Try the high life.

Fast women, slow horses, and cheap wine do wonders to your money.
High-stakes poker games.  Fancy clothing, and the ego of being part of high
society.  Sure, boots may cost 5 bucks, but wouldn't they just look great in
snakeskin boots?  Expensive women.

And, well, for the horses... if the bad guys stole the horses, and then your
posse sells them... it's stolen horses.  That's a hanging offense. :)
