When your PC is in dire need of a miracle he doesn't have, give him it for free.

This would give him 1 point in the skill FAITH: Black Magic. You don't have to tell him this, just keep track of it your self. 

When the PC uses this miracle (And all subsequent "Special" miracles), the Target Number for his faith roll is 7 regardless of what it says under the miracle description. 

After rolling either he or you should draw 5 cards plus 1 for each raise. If any of these cards are a Joker, increase his FAITH: Black Magic skill by 1 and give him another "Special" miracle. If his FAITH: Black Magic exceeds his normal faith, then he has been thoroughly corrupted and is yours to use as an abomination. (Use his FAITH: Black Magic skill in future, and lower the target numbers down to 3.)

Finally, each "Special" miracle should have a taint. 
eg

Lay on Hands, which will heal people (Target number of 7 regardless of wound), but in doing so age the recipient by 1 year. 

The miracle which allows you to speak foreign languages (I've forgotten its name) does so at the expense of reducing the targets skill in that language by 1 each time you cast it.
