I agree with you, give folks a choice between a gun and a knife and I know
which most if not all would go for.  But I was just meaning that the gunman
would also be trying to dodge the knife, which may penalise his shot.

This of course could be probably covered by the dodging rules.  OK then,
instead of penalising a gunslinger for shooting whilst someone is trying to
stick them, would you simply add a penalty for the instance when the
gunslinger vamooses on one action and then on his next action gets back up
whilst shooting the man with the knife?
