Re: [DL] About Maps
Neil,
I know Allan has previously posted some good info on maps not too long ago,
but I don't have that info handy here at work.
I am working on maps of the states in Campaign Cartographer format, that
once they are done, will be available to the list members. Right now, I'm
having a tough time deciding how exactly I want to approach part of the
drawings. (For those that are not interested in CC2, but would still like
to use my maps, I will be exporting them to JPG as well.)
These maps will be mainly set up for my campaign, however, and so should not
be looked upon as gospel for deadlands, nor exactly historical as well.
As to the distances between towns, it all depends upon the state. Some
states it's a lot more spread out than others. The trend as I see it is
that the further east a state is, the closer the towns are together and the
more of them there are.
If you want to see an example of the kind of work I'm doing, feel free to
check out the following:

Eventually, I will have a detailed map of each state west of the mississipi.
Right now, I'm working on Arizona. But I'm kind of in a rut, and not sure
how to proceed. Once I've got that ready, I'll let folks who are interested
know.
