     During the actual battle you could use how well she fights as a test of 
who's winning. When they're taking off her limbs, you could use Vigor checks 
to see if she keeps from screaming out. And once they've taken her senses 
away you could use Spirit checks to see if she keeps from going mad.

 BTW, the character was a gambler... never much of a fighter.  She was Purty

     Hmm...in that case instead of a battle the confrontation could take the 
form of a super high-stakes card game. Win the hand and get a fabulous prize. 
Lose the hand, and a hideous gibbering thing that smells like grave dirt and 
casinos takes off a body part.
