Interesting side note - I'm reading Mark Twain's Roughing It.  Not exactly
a thrilling read, but an interesting one that gives an idea of what life
was like "back then".
As long as you realize that you are looking through the distorted lens of
Clement's sarcasm and satire.  :-)
