[BNW] re (BNW) About Playing the Game

Excellent. There *are* still some BNW players out there.

I've just completed a campaign set in San Francisco with a group of deltas that
started as members of Delta Prime, performing bodyguard duties to construction
teams rebuilding after the bomb of '88 (the game is set in 2003). Most of the PCs
broke away to become Defiants after finding incriminating evidence as to Kennedy's
true identity in a vault beneath a collapsed building. They now have to get to
Washington to connect with Defiants there to present this evidence.

Great stuff. I have one player-character who is having to balance the availabity of
all this cool gear (he is an Armorgeddon Suit pilot attached to Delta Prime) and
his allegience to the rest of his buddies who are now defiants. I also have a bunch
of Axis of Evil types who are trying to obtain Armorgeddon suits for their own
purposes, and a bunch of smugglers who are using a submarine to move stuff in and
out of North San Angeles (as SF has now been renamed). I needed a buch of elite
Delta Primers to sweeten the lifestyle of the still-faithful Delta, with cooler
uniforms, fancier kit and a better lifestyle, and designed a special forces group
for DP.

I grabbed loads of useful stuff from a number of websites (thank-you,
enCaffeinatedOne, among others) to flesh out details, and have been assembling
lists of powers, tricks, archetypes and such into a set of humungous data files.
I've also been developing some temporal tricks with one of my PCs.

My group is now sailing south down the West Coast of the USA in a hijacked
submarine, with a burning fishing boat attached to its conning tower and a lot of
very upset pirates preparing to pursue them as soon as they can get their motor
torpedo boats out of a collapsed boathouse. Meanwhile, a senator implicated in the
Kennedy conspiracy, is about to activate the secret service to pick up the families
of the PCs to pre-empt any attempt they might make to make public the information
thay have. Oh, yes, and one of the Defiants has the 32-track Master Tape of the
last recording session that Elvis Presley ever made, and wants to find a recording
studio to cut some copies of it.

I *like* this game.

Cheers,

RobinH
