[BNW] My Vision of Caiman City

Dear list!

Just to add to the recent discussion, let me explain (again) what I
strive to do with the website.

I am a GM - almost every time. This leaves me with the chore (and
sometimes pleasure) to prepare a campaign and those adventures within.
In my many years of doing this, I found believability (some call it
verisimulitude these days) a necessity. Unfortunately writing up
backgrounds that comply to that standard takes time.

Therefore I suggested that the GMs on this list share this work and
provide GM background information like locales, NPCs, story hooks,
etc. on a common website - for every GM to pick what s/he likes.

Coming from a sunstarved city I picked Florida, because this way a
campaign can offer contrast (which appeals to my players). On the one
hand you have a carefree, fun-filled beachy environment (as opposed to
a possibly gritty urban combat zone like Chicago, err Crescent City).

But on the other hand, under the surface you have lots of potential
for drama: Swamps hiding evil native american cults, Drug Traffic,
Crime in General, etc.

Putting meat to this idea is the playing ground for everybody on this
list. Some people have contributed heavily sofar. I am extremely
happy about Cameron adding his sketches to the site - that kind of
work is extremely time-consuming.

Now I am looking for others to add to the site: What about the ice
cream parlor, where the matron gives free advice to young kids, the
beat cop who learns to look away when heroes do their (illegal!) work,
the cuban cab driver who has his ear to the floor of the hispanic
community? I am looking for the trappings, that make roleplaying
memorable - especially non-delta characters! So, please send in any
ideas towards this.
