ISTR = I seem to recall

Ok, if you are insitent upon using the name, go for it. You seem worried
about potential lawsuits. I've been giving advice. But in the end, it is
your choice, and your decision to face the potential. I'd say the true
potential depends on two things:

1. How similar the team and char names end up being to the computer game
and comic book versions.

2. More importantly, what you are doing with it. In your own game, or
even on a fan page, it isn't going to matter much most of the time. The
worst you'll get is a cease and desist letter, which then you can take down
the material knowing it had offended the wrong people. That happens rarely
these days for material obviously not meant to infringe and properly
attributed. ("Note, this group was inspired by this computer game (link)
although I made changes...")

If you plan on publishing it, however, it depends on where its going and
your editor. The editor may very well tell you to change the name because
of potential infringement, or refuse to publish it.

That's definately true. I generally think that unless the campaign is
designed around them, supportive deltas make lousy PCs....some more than
others.

I don't read comics except in extremely rare instances, so I'm only vaguely
familiar of who you mean from waht people have said before, but I get the
picture.
