You HAD to have missed last years Origins (and from your comments, it sounds like this is your first).  at least ther WAS a food court last year .. and Wendy's is only 3 blocks away down Nationwide .. not to mention some GREAT sit down restaurants on either side on the convention center.  

All in all .. with the exception of Origins 20 in Philly .. this was the best one to date (this was my 7th one).

Next year will be a WHOLE new ball game .. WitC is GONE .. Gama bought the con back.  and so .. the middle of the dealer's room wont be monopolized by the giant Wizards sales display (everyone else was shoved into TINY little booths this year -- so, I agree .. the dealer room was miserable this year).  The past 2 Origins have had some severe logistical problems, but the people i know on the GAMA steering commitee are already addressing them.  I look forward to the gamers taking back one of the best cons in the US
