   Well someone sort of did this.  I can't remember the name of it but there 
was a small press d20 superhero game.  While not the most complete of games 
(i found some of the feats odd and have never bothered to write the authors) 
they had a nice world set based on an online comic/story they had made.  I 
will try and find the name of it and let you know when I can.
