Uh, Just to clarify my own statement. That is any system of measure where
you are trying to find and catalog the exact way of comparing any given
character so as to always match up to any other given character.

Such as in SW:TPM, How is it that a Jedi Master gets killed by a Sith
Apprentice, who in turn gets killed by a Jedi Apprentice? must mean that the
Jedi App. is more "powerful" then the master, if that's true why is he an
App.? But this all fits in a story setting and can be used in a setting of a
game as long as you realize that it is abstract for the most part.

Things get even more mixed up when you start comparing, totally different
settings or "universes" such as with Marvel or DC, or FOX and Paramount
etc... (How is it that Batman can beat the Hulk and Predators, but not Bane
and some other much less powerful villains at times.) In a RPG this is
represented by dice and randomness (well most games do this) in a story the
difference is that you as the writer get to choose all the die results.
