Really?  I'd heard and saw good things about the current Perez issues.  
Anyhoo, the two-part Avengers issues in question were like the first Marvel 
comics I picked up, which is why they stick in mind.

Plus there's a relatively cool scene where Quicksilver has to defeat one of 
these super-adaptive Sentinels.  It can run as fast as he can, and is every 
bit as maneuverable...so QS doesn't bother maneuvering and slams himself 
into a wall at top speed.  When the Sentinel does the same thing it's a bit 
more...explosive.  I think that set up the whole Quicksilver/Crystal thing 
eventually that panned out with the Inhumans and all.
