 go?

Awwwwww....crud! I DID forget to report that adventure on here!
Sorry. Ok, here's a brief rundown. The players were as follows :
ANIME (gadgeteer in an oversized battlesuit...house gadgeteering rules...have
to tell y'all about them sometime.), EGYPT (Copycat), and POLTERGIEST
(Telekinetic, of course)

Story started with some reports of "Patriot" or "Patriot Wannabes" wreaking
havoc down through the country, in various places. The team, working with
Prime-Chattanooga's resident Hacker NPC determined that the times of the
incidents showed that they COULD have all been done by the same
person/persons. The incidents went as follows : obvious 'Defiants' perform
some crime...bank robbery being the usual, Delta Prime shows up, Primers
battle 'Defiants', "Patriot" shows up and attacks Primers from ambush,
"Patriot" and 'Defiants' kill all Primers on scene.
Needless to say, my folks didn't think too highly of this and after guessing
at the next probable attack sight, requested of the Branch Commander leave to
set an ambush. Commander ok'ed it.......but at the last minute, cancelled
the operation. When asked about it, he only said that it was cancelled from
"Higher Up". (please insert the appropriate X-Files theme here). The next
morning.....you guessed it... more dead Primers.... more Anti-Defiance
Press..... more "Patriot Imposter" headlines. It waaaaaaaas about......
here that the team got...shall we say... nervous? heh heh heh Anime (my
wife's character AND my wife actually....we made our characters after
ourselves......HA!) decide to go out on a limb and had the Hacker (code name
Compaq.....HA! again) work quietly on this case..... even though they had ALL
been warned to "...... not concern themselves with Primer matters that they
haven't been directly ordered to look into." It was here (and I...the
Guide... kind of made a mistake that worked out better than I had it planed
for later) that Anime discovered that Compaq was a Defiance plant. This
threw her. So badly she didn't turn her in at once.... thereby making
herself an accomplice....at least that's what she was told! heh heh heh
They discovered that our very own Chattanooga was the next logical attack
site, and wouldn't ya know it.... an atert came in of a bank robbery at a
downtown bank by delta perps.....and THEY (them thar nosey, pesky
lookin-whar-they-shouldn'ta-oughta PC's were specifically chosen to be the
strike team. OH THE PARINOIA....... it ran thicker than frozen syrup!
Anyway..... the fight came about, the 'defiants' were beaten....barely,
and "Patriot" was killed.....horribly. But before some really scary folks
in black suits took the 'Defiants'...and more importantly "Patriot" away....
Anime mashed his hand against the chest plate of her battlesuit. The
fingerprints came back (man....Hackers can be REALLY helpfull) as belonging
to a dead Primer... dead for about 6 months! (Insert MORE scary X-Files
music here) Threw in a few little twists....like Compaq being REAL
Defiance and HELPING them end(?) this masquarade..... the "Mysterious Shadowy
Figure" (a'la Cancer Man of X-Files) i've actually made Christopher
Lee.....in a BLACK SUIT! (heh heh heh)..... they were helped out of a jam
by an unknown Delta that was teleported away by a known Defiance member
(Encafenated One knows THIS guy..... but does he REALLY?) All in
all....the player's (and in this case, more importantly...the CHARACTERS)
know that at least SOME of Delta Prime ain't so nice and good. Now....
two of them are almost too scared to go out on calls, and one's unsure which
side she should be on. Life is good as a Guide
