I have to agree with you here. While I love to paint minis and use them as
place markers for combat in RPGs (among other things) I know not everyone
feels that way. In fact PEGs production of Cardstock Cowboys for HOE and
Deadlands seems like a great idea to me. It allows you to play not only
RPGs but even table top miniatures games without spending a fortune and
doing lots of painting. Heck, even Fields of Honor can be played lead free
and it's a historical game! Of course in the end I still want my minis.
Who wants paper or plastic when you can have heavy metal ;-}
