I might make it a little more expensive, but then again, I might not...
I've always thought that the part that needs the biggest expansion is the
Tricks, because they are what a player can purchase to modify and/or
improve their packages, because Powers themselves are not modified.
That in mind, I also wouldn't mind seeing the addition of new Tricks which
are effectively better versions of old ones, but which have pre-requisite
Tricks. For example, the current Extra Damage trick gives you an extra Die
of damage for each extra success on a to hit, right? Well, how about this:
Advanced Trick: Even More Damage
Pre-requisites*: Extra Damage
Cost: 20
Even More Damage allows a Delta to achieve an incredibly effective use of
their powers, specifically for hurting someone "but good". For every extra
success on an attack roll, add 2 extra damage dice.
Advanced Trick: Massive Damage
Pre-requisites*: Even More Damage
Cost: 30
Massive Damage allows a Delta to hurt a person all over their body -- all
at once. For 3 extra successes on an attack roll, treat a Delta damage
roll as Massive Damage. (Note that this requires the Player to come up
with a reasonable excuse as to how this can happen -- it will not happen
without the Guide's approval! Some ideas include: a Blaster whose blasts
hit and seem to flow over the target, enveloping him; a Gunner who fires a
spray of at least 6 bullets in rapidfire, hitting all locations; a Goliath
whose big, meaty fists shake their victim to their very bones, etc.)
* Note: Advanced Tricks may *not* be purchased as Starting Tricks during
character creation.
