But only Gadgeteers can have the Tinkering power, can't they?

It seems a mildly moot point, as a reread reveals the following on page 178:

"A gadgeteer's power is to build and MAINTAIN wondrous devices." (emphasized 
in the book)  "If you're not a gadgeteer, you can still use a gadget, but 
you can't keep it in working order."

So ignore my previous speculation.  Someone would have to ask Matt (which 
I'll do...).

There was some discussion on that a while back.  Someo fht athas been 
answered in gamemaster-only source material as far as Facade's involvement.  
General assumption seems to be that yes, Facade shielded himself during the 
time period he believed the bomb would go off.
