That was my impression as well, and a comment I felt I had to make for my 
on-line review of Bargainers for Azrael Online (which should see print in 
August).  The fact that proofreader is listed as "Alan Smythee" suggests 
there was some kind of problem there.

My impression at least was that Houdini was "off-dimension" when the BB went 
down.  Kind of the same way I explained the presence of my own Alpha (well, 
Grant Morrison's own Alpha, but you know what I mean), Promotheus, at my web 
site.  Don't know about Marie, but don't recall right off hand - did Matt 
establish she was super-powered and Alpha-classed?
