This was one of the first tactics that the speedster came up with in the
game I was running. He had written up a character that was experienced, so
discussed the tactic with me before using it in game play... I ruled that
something as sturdy as a nightstick (and, if you don't think they're
sturdy, just talk to your local law enforcement distributor about what
they're capable of) would probably translate a fair amount of the damage to
the hand and wrist of the speedster. So... our speedster, not one to be set
back by this, now usually grabs something nice and breakable... a 2x4, a
chair, a pool-stick, whatever... and uses those in his charge attacks. The
damage ends up being the same as Theo mentioned, but he's yet to find
something that he feels comfortable toting several of with him.
