[BNW] Bargainer question - possible spoilerish

Quick question about bargainers, but since it
references The Ripper some of you may consider it
spoilerish, so obligitory spoiler space ...

Ok, Bargainers main power is that of making totems
even though they have the trick of Jinx that imitates
a spell.  Samantha in The Ripper is a bargainer with
no obvious totems who does some spell-like effects
without the mechanics of them explained?  Does anyone
have insight on this?  Are bargainers supposed to have
spell-like powers as well as make totems?  Will we
have to wait for the sourcebook to come out before we
find out?  Has anyone implimented this idea into their
champaign?
