Since you only /roll/ your stats (your skills are straight bonuses),
it has always been my understanding that stat bonus apply to *any*
roll of that stat, even a skill check.

I don't *really* have a problem with it, because it is really the 
Goliath's "big thing"... although it does make them /nasty/...

Welcome to the list!  Have you run BNW much yet?  I think we'd all like
to hear any problems or cool things you've encountered so far, because
most of us (I think) are not yet running it...

(Oh, and I usually lurk too, 'cept when I've got something to say... or
when I'm inspired by COFFEE -- which equates to most of the time..)
