You won't find any disagreements there!!!
<<Might quibble with the archery>>
One of her main weapons, outside of the stakes and her hands/feet, is a
crossbow though... and it's her only real missile weapon outside of throwing
stuff.
<<> STRENGTH 3d6+5

I disagree - her skills are martial arts, not brawling.
<<Arts: dressing cool 4
Persuasion: intimidation 2
Shadowing 3>>
Shadowing - definitely, but persuasion: intimidation I'm not sure about ...
I'm open to comments from others on this one. As for the *arts* skill, I'd
say this was more natural instinct than a skill. Of course, in our old V&V
campaign (where *diminished senses* was a weakness) we had a memorable
character with *diminished fashion sense*...
<<Have no life -5, Trouble Magnet -5, Bad reputation -3,
Enemy -1 to -5 (depending on the episode)>>
*No life* is pretty much part of every superheroes life in some shape or
form; the enemy thing isn't a quirk as again it's part of the job (a BNW
enemy would be a recurring villain e.g. The Master if he was still around)
and as for Bad Rep... is this a quirk, I dunno?
<<Depending on your opinions of them, Xander, Willow, Cordelia and Oz
might count as Sidekicks -- or Dependants.>>
I thought long and hard (kinda) about this and decided that, although they
were regs (Oz excepted) they should be considered other independent
characters rather dependents - hence the loyalty quirk (which would also
include her mum). Angel as well I didn't feel merited the Patron rank either.
In my humble opinion Giles is the only one who comes across as *quirk-worthy*
(?) because he can't really function without A Slayer. Angel and the others
are individual characters in their own right -- I realise this is
over-simplifing Giles' role in the scheme of things ...
<<Yikes! She gets the strength of a Goliath, and the initiative bonus of
a Speedster! As much as I admire Buffy, this is a bit much..
I'd give her +2 or +3 strength max... And just about the same for a
speed
bonus to initiative, dodging and martial arts (but not pace).>>
Agree with you 100% on this one ... I'd say +3 on both, with the Speed limits
you set (although I'd include acrobatics).
<<Does Not Bruise Easily: Armour 2
Heals Quickly: Healing difficulties are made as normal, but against
Easy(5)
instead of Challenging(10).>>
This hasn't come across to me in the show or the books ... when she gets hurt
she's hurt as badly as anyone else, it's just she's very good at dodging so
doesn't get hurt as much as you or I would in those circumstances. Again, I'm
open to criticism on this one.
<<The weapon mastery one is perhaps a bit much, too.. although there are
times when she has whipped Gyles during weapon training..>>
For me, this has been one of her unique, if not stated outright, abilities
... she always seems to be able to kick a$$ with whatever weapon she has to
hand and I think this is much more than *just* training.
cheers for comments,
Tim
