Re: [BNW] Who played BNW at Origins?

| The system is pretty much like Deadlands, except you don't use an cards and
| only d6's...I think most of the same traits are there, as well....

Chips are replaced by Delta points. Not quite as useful, but
still handy. The traits are, if I recall Strength, Speed, Smarts, and
Spirit. I might be missing one.
The system is pretty much deadlands, simplified as much as
possible and without the flavor.

The powers actually remind me vaguely of Heroes Unlimited. Pick
one or two powers (each hero that shares a common power has the /exact/
same power) plus a couple little tricks to make it a little more unique
and nifty. It's not too bad, but it's no Champions.

| Matt showed us a couple of mock ups that looked pretty cool and the art is
| tres cool

It was hard to really say seeing only the black and white mock-up,
but I'm sure it'll be just as asthetically pleasing as everything else
from PEG.

| The origin of the powers weren't really delved into and I think the timeline
| was mentioned, but I wasn't paying alot of attention to it, for some
| reason..(I'm very ashamed of myself :) )

The origin of the powers is something on the realm of, "Who are
the Reckoners." It's one of them fancy PEG secrets.

| I think it's gonna be great and well worth the time and money....:))\

I certainly intend to pick up a copy. Not for the system, but for
the world / story line.
